Let me share my story about my transformative journey and why it has brought me to where I am today.
At Faith Church, led by Pastor David Crank (@davidcrank), I embarked on a weight loss journey. During a service, Pastor David introduced us to his trainer, Don Strange. Don’s reputation as a skilled coach immediately inspired me to join his fitness and nutrition group. I admired Don’s genuine desire to help others, which led me to train with him in 2021.
Training with Don was a slow and steady process, but his unwavering support was invaluable. When people asked about my weight loss motivation, I always pointed to my upcoming book tour. I needed to be in my best shape for stage appearances and book signings. This goal kept me going until December 2022, when everything changed.
I fell gravely ill with septic shock and was given less than a 1% chance of survival. But I believe divine intervention saved me. After 15 days on a ventilator, I awoke, facing the daunting task of relearning basic movements. It took four months before I could walk unaided again. Miraculously, I recovered better than before my illness.
Looking back, I realize how crucial my fitness journey was to my survival. If I had still weighed over 300 pounds, my outcome might have been very different.
This experience showed me that weight loss and health aren’t just about looks; it’s about resilience, strength, and taking care of your body so it can take care of you.
My journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and faith. It’s not just about physical transformation; it’s about the inner strength you build along the way.
I look forward to sharing my story, hoping it inspires others to take control of their own health. We all deserve a life of strength and vitality, and if my journey can light the way for even one person, then it’s all been worth it.
Remember, transformation starts from within. Love yourself, fuel your body, and embrace the journey, one step at a time. You are stronger than you think!
Love, Cynthia.
